Bravo! Oster does encore performance with 2006 Pro Bono Account
North Coast Repertory Theatre to receive free marketing services for a year
San Diego, CA, January 5, 2006- Local advertising, marketing and public relations agency Oster and Associates, Inc. has selected North Coast Repertory Theatre (NCRT) as the agency’s 2006 pro-bono account. Oster will provide the San Diego non-profit theatre company marketing assistance throughout the year. The pro-bono program is an annual initiative established by Oster in 2003.
“Rather than doing periodic pro-bono work, we decided that we can be of more service to the community working with a non-profit for an entire year. I don’t know of any other agency offering this kind of service. It’s a very satisfying experience,” said Bev Oster, president of Oster and Associates. Past pro-bono accounts include The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA (2005) and ElderHelp (2004).
NCRT was selected from more than 40 responses to Oster’s Request for Proposal. Oster and Associates sought a dynamic, driven, community-based organization in need of help in developing its marketing and public relations strategy.
“We had many deserving applicants and it was difficult to narrow it down to a single agency, “ said Oster. “This will be the first time we have supported the arts locally. Two thousand and six is a pivotal year for North Coast Repertory Theatre, and we’re excited about helping such a prominent member of the arts community make a positive impact on the community.”
NCRT serves 40,000 people with performances year-round. The theatre also involves thousands of young people each year in the Theatre School, NCRT’s education and community outreach program. 2006 will mark the theatre’s 25th anniversary.
